I would agree with Dr. Fechner that having the mole removed first, followed by the chemical peel 4-6 weeks later would be the rational approach. The idea is to allow the site of mole removal to heal fully before the peel. The scar and any pigmentation left by mole removal can be improved with the chemical peel.

Chemical peels are acidic substances usually derived from fruits or milk. They are applied to the skin to remove the old and damaged top layers of the skin leaving a healthy, fresh, youthful appearance with a more even colour and surface. A Jessner's peel is superficial and you should recover quickly. Peeling usually takes about 3-5 days and you won't be red for more than a week or two at most. TCA's usually depend on what concentration the TCA is. 10% is superficial and recovery is about the same or a little more that the Jessner's. 20% is a little deeper and can reach the papillary dermis and will require 5-7 days to peel. 30-3

Bleaching creams are the best. Have used them for years to erase the pigmentation that can arise after peels. They work but you need a prescription of a high concentration of hydroquinone (6-8%) to do the job. Combined with cortisone and Retin-A, this formula called the Kligman formula ( Dr. Kligman developed Retin-A) is known to all dermatologists. It usually takes a couple of months to work.

By your question I suspect you want to know if these procedures will get rid of some excess or lumpy Juvederm. Cortisone shots take away inflamation and swelling. You can get a little swelling from juvederm during the first 3-4 days. If the area is swollen from the juvederm injections then the cortisone will help bring the swelling down quicker if done during the first few days. If the juvederm l
